I will check the logs for moisture content, settling, fully inspect the gabled ends, all windows and doors, staircases, partition walls, visible plumbing pipes and rigid conduit, screw jacks, wood decay, hidden decay, finish coating, roofing, wood destroying insects I will also inspect for proper installation and structural integrity. Log homes can last hundreds of years if they are well designed, and have had periodic maintenance.
